The finding of Hypecoum procumbens (Hypecoaceae) in the Crimea

Abstract

Two localities of Hypecoum procumbens L. were found on Heracleisky peninsula, near Sevastopol. This is the first record of this plant in the Crimea and the second one in Ukraine and Eastern Europe. Morphological description of the Crimean specimens of H. procumbens is given. The origin of Sevastopol population of the species is discussed.
