Evaluation of antioxidant activity of some wild macromycetes

Syrchin S.A.1, Grodzinskaya A.A.2
Abstract

Antioxidant properties of 6 species of edible and medicinal wild macromycetes were studied. The highest antioxidant activity of ethanol extracts of dry macromycetes biomass determined with 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH)radical was found in King bolete (Boletus edulis Bull.). In terms of antioxidant activity, the studied mushroom species can be represented as a sequence: Boletus edulis → Suillus luteus → B.badius → Armillariella mellea → Laetiporus sulphureus → Piptoporus betulinus.

Keywords: medicinal mushrooms, antioxidant activity, wild macromycetes
